M4 Macs Testing Hints at Likely October Release.

Following an iPhone event, Apple is expected to unveil its latest M4 Mac models in October.

Developer logs uncover the use of M4 chip models in ongoing tests on some Mac systems.

The four different models of Mac that were used to conduct the tests include: “16,1,” “16,2,” “16,3,” and “16,10.”

Three models have 10-core CPUs and GPUs; one has eight cores.

All of the tested Macs come either with 16GB or 32GB random access memory.

Most likely it is the new range of MacBook Pro that will be launched first with M4 chipsets.

This October release coincides with other past releases of M-series.

MacBook Air may not get M4 update until spring 2025.
