Apple restructures its App Store management strategy.

The App Store division of Apple is going to be divided into two parts.

One group manages the App Store, and the other handles alternative marketplaces.

After ten years, Matt Fischer, who worked as Vice President of the App Store, has quit.

Carson Oliver will oversee the App Store division moving forward.

Ann Thai will lead the group managing alternative app distribution.

Both App Store divisions at apple will be taken care of by Phil Schiller.

This reorganization is prompted by the demands of the European regulators for third party payments.

Recently launched alternative app stores like Epic Games Store are now available on iPhones.
